IFW Winterschool

 

 

General information
The IFW winter school 2012 takes place in Oberwiesenthal on January 15 - 18, 2012. The topic of the winter school 2012 is "Magnetism and Magnetic Materials". 

Technical program
The program will consist of tutorials, contributed talks as well as of a poster session.

- Tutorial talks will last 30 minutes and 10 minutes discussion.
- Contributed talks will last 12 minutes and 5 minutes discussion.
- Posters should be in portrait format (DIN A0). All posters have to be introduced by a 2 minutes talk (power point slide).
  
The seminar language is English.
 

All lecturers should have their files (power point or pdf) on a USB memory stick or on their own laptop.

Members of the program committee are Dr. Denys Makarov, Dr. Rudolf Schäfer, Dr. Anja Waske, Dr. Thomas Mühl and Dr. Steffen Sykora.

 

Transfer
Departure to Oberwiesenthal is planned on Sunday, 15 January at 2 pm from IFW. Departure to Dresden will be on Wednesday, 18 January at 2.30 pm. An overland bus will be chartered, taking most of the participants to Oberwiesenthal.

Accommodation
Participants will be accommodated at the Panorama Ringhotel Oberwiesenthal, Vierenstraße 11, 09484 Oberwiesenthal, mainly in double rooms. A list of room sharing will be sent to all participants via E-mail.

Travel request
The form of travel request has to be filled out only by the car drivers.
