General Information

The aim of this conference is to put together scientific community in a multidisciplinary area of research at the interface of electrochemistry and spectroscopy, and to discuss recent results and open questions in the field. The motivation for a special spectroelectrochemical conference consists in the fact that concerted application of both experimental approaches brings unique information about charge-transfer process. As a satellite event of the 63rd Annual Meeting of ISE (Prague, Aug. 19-24, 2012) it will highlight this aspect. Of particular interest are in-situ spectroelectrochemical methods which provide salient input towards our understanding of electrochemical processes in variety of objects ranging from single molecules to polymers and nanomaterials. Along with addressing of academic questions, the investigation of practically important problems of batteries, fuel cells and solar energy conversion will be treated as well. The scope of this conference will be focused (but not restricted) to the following areas:

  1. Recent development in spectroelectrochemical techniques
  2. Combined applications of spectroscopic methods
  3. Spectroelectrochemistry of single electron transfer
  4. New materials for spectroelectrochemistry
  5. Spectroelectrochemistry in charge storage
  6. Spectroelectrochemistry in fuel cell research
  7. Spectroelectrochemistry in solar cell research
  8. Spectroelectrochemistry in organic device research
  9. Spectroelectrochemical characterization of nanomaterials
  10. Spectroelectrochemical characterization of single molecules
