"1-cubed ARPES"
Synchrotron-based ARPES end-station constructed by our group
"1-cubed ARPES" is the name of the photoemission beamline end-station at BESSY synchrotron in Berlin.

A couple of years ago, together with BESSY and TU Dresden, we have initiated a project "Highest resolution ARPES". The project is sponsored by BMBF. The objective is to build up the ARPES facility which enables to do angle-resolved photoemission experiments below 1 K with the energy resolution contribution from the analyzer of less than 1 meV and from the beamline of less than 1 meV. So that 1x1x1=13.
The current status:
The system is in user operation. The working (high flux: 100 mu exit slit 5eV pass energy, 0.2 mm Scienta slit) overall energy resolution is ~ 3-4 meV. Temperature of the diod just above the sample is ~ 0.8 K.
