Formalities before arriving
Passport and Visa
A valid passport is necessary when coming to Germany. For EU citizens, it is sufficient with an ID card provided that the citizenship is stated on the card. Generally, citizens of countries outside the EU have to obtain a visa before they come to Germany. The list of countries is available at http://www.auswaertiges-amt.de Visitors, who need a visa have to apply for the visa at the German Embassy / Consulate in their home country. If you need a letter of invitation for your stay at IFW Dresden please contact Ms Höllerer (k.hoellerer at ifw-dresden.de).

Then, a separate contract with the particular company has to be arranged.
