Scanning Tunneling Microscopy & Spectroscopy

Welcome to the group home page of the STM group at the IFF. Our research interest is to study the ground states of correlated electron systems and magnetic nanostructures. Currently our work focuses in large parts on the construction of new scanning tunneling microscopes for studies in ultra-high vacuum at very low temperature and high magnetic fields.
