My major scientific interests are:
- Development of field effect transistors based on strained semiconducting nanomembranes.
- Fabrication and thermoelectric characterization of hybrid superlattice stacks.
- Theoretical investigation of stability as well as transport properties in an electric and magnetic field of new types of single-walled carbon nanotubes.
- Synthesis of individual SWCNT as well as oxide nanowires. Setup of electron-beam lithographic tools to successfully contact and measure the synthesized nanostructures.
