Quasi-static magnetometry

Two different setups for quasi-static MOKE magnetometry exist. One is directly integrated into the Kerr microscope, allowing the simultaneous acquirement of domain images and hysteresis loops. Both schemes offer the possibility of magnetic measurements with µm resolution.

In addition, an inductive magnetometer is available, using a commercial loop tracer (SHB108). Whereas the MOKE setups give information about the surface magnetization reversal, the inductive setup  integrates over the volume of the sample.
