ESF Exploratory Workshop On Physics And Technology Of Iron Pnictide Thin Films (ESF)
The discovery of superconductivity in the iron pnictide LaFeAsO1-xFx in 2008 stimulated enormous research efforts in solid state physics, theoretically and experimentally. Iron pnictide compounds are multifunctional, i.e. depending on composition and/or doping they may exhibit semiconducting, metallic or superconductive properties, therefore, offering a broad variety of possible applications. This workshop focuses on iron pnictide thin film fabrication, their underlying physics and their technological applicability. Its aim is to work out future trends in fundamental physics research as well as possible devices for pnictide thin films.
