2nd NESPA TEM Training Course (Barcelona)

High resolution materials analysis to reveal the microstructure of superconductors is one of the central key points to get a deeper understanding of the critical current density in superconductors. Especially in HTS where effective pinning sites are structural defects on the nano-scale, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) becomes more and more important. The ICMAB Barcelona has special experience in preparing and investigating high quality TEM samples from HTS materials and this training course will be able to transfer this knowledge across the network where several advanced TEMs are available.
Starting with special sample preparation techniques, the course will cover the theoretical basics of electron microscopy as well as practical training at the microscope.
The second NESPA TEM Training Course will take place from may 12th to may 15th in Barcelona. Dr. Felip Sandiumenge from ICMAB Barcelona organized in collaboration with Serveis Científic-Tècnics de la Universitat de Barcelona an exceptional program with internationally well known lecturer. Some of the lectures will be published here after the workshop.
