Our program from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

From 5 p.m.: Join in the family program with lots of experiments to touch, try out and be fascinated by!
Have you ever seen a levitating train? Do you know how to build a lava lamp? How do you build an electric circuit? How do you make tiny things visible? These and many more experiments await you this evening at our institute. Come by, join in and ask our scientists a few questions!

Fascination quantum physics: Principles of quantum physics will be explained by means of hands-on experiments (5 p.m. to 11 p.m.).

Close to touch - Fullerenes: Here, the spherical molecules can be modeled (until 9 p.m.) and experienced virtually (until 11 p.m.).

Laboratory tours: We offer guided laboratory tours on the topics "Chemical synthesis of new materials", "Physical investigation of new materials" and "Heating - cooling - generating electricity with thermoelectrics". In small groups, you can take a deeper insight into the topics and directly ask the scientists your questions about the research topics. The laboratory tours last about 30 minutes and are limited to 8 people each. Just ask at the entrance for the tour that you are interested in. The schedule is available here.

Micro-tsunamis and nano-quakes: Insights into Acoustic Microsystems. Using demonstrators and other exhibits, you can explore the topics of Acoustic Microsystems and SAW applications and engage in conversation with our scientists. (5 to 11 p.m.)

Science Cinema: Science explained in a nutshell. On this evening, our IFW cinema will be showing short films in which scientists present their various research topics. And maybe you will meet the researchers later in our institute?

Coffee and Transfer: Here you will find selected research topics that show how knowledge can be applied: Topics include new possibilities in battery production or approaches to solutions for contributing to the transformation of the energy system (5 p.m. to 11 p.m.).

Enjoy the summer night in our inner courtyard in a relaxed atmosphere and the catering. In addition, games such as boules or Swedish chess are waiting for you.
