IFW Excellence Program 2016

The Excellence Program can provide funding for three years to a researcher to establish and lead a junior research group with two doctoral students at one of the Institutes of the IFW. Transition to a permanent position is possible following the three years. Excellent researchers who have acquired between two and six years of postdoctoral research experience can apply. Proposals building on very innovative ideas supported by first experimental or theoretical findings are particularly encouraged.

  1. Theory of interacting topological materials
  2. Nano-membrane based materials and devices
  3. Solid-state chemistry of bulk materials for thermoelectric applications
