Carsten Albert receives DRESDEN EXCELLENCE AWARD 2022

Carsten Albert has been honored for his outstanding work with the Science Award of the City of Dresden.

The DRESDEN EXCELLENCE AWARD 2022 in the category "Diplom/Master/State Exam" was given to IFW PhD student Carsten Albert last Saturday by Mayor Dirk Hilbert for his state examination thesis on the topic "Entwicklung eines Leitfadens zur Erstellung von Begleittexten mit Interpretationshilfen für Exponate zur Quantenmechanik".
Together with the Research Technology Department of IFW Dresden and in cooperation with the Science Center Technische Sammlungen Dresden and the chair of physics education of the TU Dresden, Carsten Albert has developed a concept to explain phenomena of quantum physics to a broad audience and non-scientific visitors.
The award winner, who is currently working on his PhD in physics didactics, is involved in various STEM education projects and was honored not least for his outstanding commitment in this context.
