On Tuesday, 25 August 2026, at 4:00 p.m., the concert-conference Music and Physics will take place in the Lecture Hall at IFW Dresden.
The event combines music by Nata Kali, composer, pianist and singer, with a presentation by Prof. Roland Hayn (Aix-Marseille University) exploring various connections between physics and music.
Roland Hayn is Professor of Physics at Aix-Marseille University and conducts research at the Institut Matériaux Microélectronique Nanosciences de Provence (IM2NP). Before moving to Marseille, he worked as a scientist at IFW Dresden.
The format was presented in Marseille last year and will now be hosted at IFW Dresden.
