Validation funding "IQ@IFW" launched

New institutional support to boost technology transfer

IFW Dresden has launched the new validation funding program “IQ@IFW” – Innovation Quest – with institutional support from the Saxon Ministry of Economic Affairs (SMWA). This unique internal and regional program aims to bridge the gap between outstanding research and real-world application by supporting the validation of technologies and materials at early readiness stages.

Unlike traditional competitive grants, IQ@IFW follows a tailored, needs-based evaluation process. The application includes an online self-assessment based on the Innovation Readiness Level™ Model*, guidance from our team, and participation in an internal consultation. Funding decisions are made within 3–4 weeks after a final online session with our expert validation board.
