The 7th International Summer School Spectroelectrochemistry will take place at the Center of Spectroelectrochemistry, Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research (IFW Dresden), in Dresden, Germany
from 29 August to 4 September 2025.
The one-week course will focus on the theoretical background (two days) and practical training (four days) in spectroelectrochemical techniques like:
In situ Electron Spin (Paramagnetic) Resonance (ESR/EPR) spectroelectrochemistry
In situ Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroelectrochemistry
In situ Ultraviolet-Visible-Near infrared (UV-vis-NIR) spectroelectrochemistry
In situ Luminescence spectroelectrochemistry
In situ Fourier-Transform-Infrared (FTIR) spectroelectrochemistry
In situ Raman spectroelectrochemistry
Computational modeling of spectral and electrochemical properties.
The course presents tutorial lectures on the methods by renowned scientists and demonstration experiments in small groups. Each participant can join the lab sessions in all spectroelectrochemical techniques given above.
The summer school provides opportunities to discuss recent results and experience in spectroelectrochemistry (an beyond) by a poster presentation. The best posters will be awarded. All participants will receive a certificate confirming the participation in the summer school.

The lectures will be held at weekend (29-31 August) in a conference site (hotel) in Dresden (information about the hotel will be provided later).
The laboratory and poster sessions will take place at the IFW Dresden from 1 to 4 September.
Participants of the summer school will stay at the hotel during the whole event (six nights from Friday 29 August to Thurday 4 September 2025).
Registration will be open from January 15th, 2025.

Deadline for registration and payment is June 15, 2025.
The number of participants is limited to 25. Therefore the principle “first come, first served” is applied. A waiting list will be installed if needed.
The participation fee is 1500 € for each participant. Fee includes 6 nights accommodation (single room), theoretical and practical courses, daily breakfast and lunch, dinner at the conference hotel at weekend, Gala-dinner and afternoon excursion.
Only after payment, participation will be finally confirmed.
The payment has to be made by bank transfer only in EURO. Bank transfer charges are not included in the fee. We do not accept payments in cash, by bank card, credit card or personal cheque. Please mention the name of participant and reference.
Cancellation must be sent in written form to Summer School Office and will be free of charge until July 1st 2025. Afterwards only 50% of fee will be refunded. No reimbursement will be made for cancellations received after August 1st 2025.
