Metallography

Our fully equipped metallography laboratory provides advanced tools for examining and analysing the microstructure of metals. With modern cutting, grinding, polishing and imaging equipment, we support reliable material testing and quality control. In addition, our laboratory is equipped with several hardness testers. Our team ensures accurate results that help users understand material performance.

Cold embedding

  • 25 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm embedding molds

Hot embedding Simplimet 3000 Buehler

  • Molding Temperature  50°C-180°C in 10°C increments
  • Molding Pressure 80-300 bar in 5 bar increments
  • Heating Time 0-20 min in 10 sec increments
  • Cooling time 0-30 min in 10 sec increments
     

Accutom-50 (shown here)

  • Separation speed: 300-5000 rpm, adjustable in increments of 100

Visualisation of surface structure and grain boundaries using various etching agents is carried out safely in our laboratory, with all etching procedures performed inside a fume cupboard.
