A textbook on the physical metallurgy of non-ferrous metals and their alloys by J. Freudenberger and M. Heilmaier (written in german). The textbook provides an introduction to the physical metallurgy of non-ferrous metals and their alloys with a focus on the synthesis, constitution, microstructure, mechanical and physical properties that determine their use in applications. In a compact and clearly structured manner, the reader is given an overview of the performance of non-ferrous metals and their limitations and acquires the competence to evaluate the possible applications based on the respective properties.
