Spectroscopic determination of reactive oxygen species

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) - also known as oxygen radicals - are a variety of compounds derived from molecular oxygen (O2). At IFW Dresden, reactive oxygen species like singlet oxygen O2, hydroxyl radical ●OH, hydroperoxyl radical ●OOH, superoxide radical anion O2●- can be determined by electron spin (paramagnetic) resonance (ESR/EPR) spectroscopy.
