Golam Haider is a scientist and group leader at IFW Dresden, where he leads the Twisted 2D Materials Group and the Superpuddles Lab. His research focuses on two-dimensional superconducting nanodevices, with particular emphasis on the interaction of light with the lattice, spin, and electronic degrees of freedom, aiming toward quantum optoelectronic devices.
At IFW Dresden, he developed a 2D nanofabrication facility that includes an ultrahigh-vacuum exfoliation and stacking system aimed at producing high-quality 2D interfaces and devices. His laboratory is also equipped with polarization-resolved, low-frequency cryogenic micro-Raman spectroscopy combined with electrical measurement capabilities, enabling a range of optoelectronic investigations.

The laboratory is part of the Institute for Metallic Materials at the IFW Dresden, operating in close and coherent synergy with the Superpuddles Lab in the Department of Physics at the University of Naples “Federico II” (UNINA).
Our team investigates topological superconductivity in complex quantum materials. We focus on the development of advanced synthesis methods, nanoscale imaging techniques, and device-level control to push the frontiers of this field. While our research is fundamentally driven by curiosity, we remain strongly engaged with its potential impact on solid-state superconducting quantum technologies.
