In February, 22 scientists from 18 Leibniz institutes travelled to Australia on a delegation trip. To represent the broad range of facilities and capabilities at IFW Dresden, Dr. Armaghan Fakhfouri from IET department participated in this program. The eleven-day trip took the delegates to the four scientific centres of Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane with various universities and research infrastructures. The programme included 70 meetings, 47 of which were scientific workshops to initiate and intensify cooperations between Leibniz institutes and partner institutions in Australia. Dr. Fakhfouri co-hosted five workshops at Monash university, RMIT University, University of Technology Sydney, UNSW and Macquarie University, promoting IFW Dresden and initiating several collaborations with top universities in Australia.
