In the Superpuddles Lab we focus our research in the two-dimensional (2D) materials and heterostructures of superconductors in complex quantum matter. Our goal is to design superconductors with modular interfaces that can be assembled at atomically precise length scales in order to study and control the emerging topological organization of strongly interacting systems. In our lab we synthetize and isolate atomically thin superconductors, assemble these materials into novel multicomponent-network system and quantitatively interrogate them by means of electronic quantum transport and synchrotron radiation microscopies. We use state-of-the-art micromanipulation and nanofabrication tools for the preparation of mesoscopic structures, and we synthetize the low-dimensional quantum circuits in a cryogenically cooled inert atmosphere.
